Every couple of months we get this annoying gnat problem in our house.  And it always seems to develop right before we have guests coming to stay with us.  It doesn’t matter if your house is clean if you have 4 gnats flying around your sink for no apparent reason.  The only solution that works every time is to put a ripe banana in a glass, cover it with plastic wrap, and poke one hole in it.  Over the next couple of days they all find there way in there.  This never happened when we lived in Atlanta so I suspect it is some kind of Texas thing.  But I don’t just want to go up to my coworkers and say, “So do you guys have a gnat problem at your house?”  So we’ll just quietly deal with our pest problem and tell ourselves it’s Texas’ fault and has nothing to do with us.
