Poutine sounds like a dirty word.  Taylor and I first heard about it about 6 months ago and have been wanting to try it ever since.  It is a French-Canadian dish that consists of french fries, cheese curds, and gravy.  As you can tell, it is super healthy and only served in the fanciest of places.  Last Friday in Rochester we went to a bar called the Tap and Mallet.  And there on the menu was poutine.  Taylor ordered it and I ate at least half of it despite there being four of us.

Amazingly enough, it did not wreck havoc on my body.  I might have to try and recreate it but will have difficulty.  Despite the gravy being vegetarian it had this amazing flavor to it that I didn’t know was possible without meat.  We will have to try.

That gravey was vegetarian? Tasted like a very concentrated beef gravy – or so I hear! 🙂
